Background
Miriam’s focus is on facilitating growth and resilience in clients. Miriam’s Doctoral thesis focussed on Negotiating Life Challenges, which identified the processes people use to manage life challenges in positive ways. This has helped her in working in particular with clients who experienced trauma or are negotiating life transitions.
Miriam draws upon cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused approaches, as well as acceptance and commitment therapy and positive psychology modalities.
In addition to her work as a psychologist, Miriam is an experienced educator and facilitator of self-development workshops, which encourage participants to find a voice for their own stories.
