Therapeutic Approach:

As a developmental Psychologist I work across the life span in a client-centred approach, with people as young as kindergarten age to older people in their later years. As a psychologist trained in family therapy, I seek to understand and help families using a strength based, whole-system approach.

I am trained in a number of therapeutic approaches ranging from Psychodynamic, Positive Psychology, CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, solution focussed therapy and play therapy, particularly sandplay therapy.

My work is informed by evidence based and collaborative focussed therapy modalities and is tailor made along these lines. I use humour and playfulness as well as teaching specific skills to help clients feel empowered and able to make wise choices and deal with challenges in their lives. 

I have worked in the school system both government and independent over the past 22 years both in primary and secondary school settings. I am also a trained secondary school teacher.
